Dr Bish Soliman
Dr. Bish Soliman is a Sydney-based Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a focus on microsurgical reconstruction, including breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery and skin cancer surgery. He currently holds consultant microsurgery positions at two major tertiary referral hospitals in Sydney.
After graduating from The King’s School, Dr. Soliman completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Sydney. He briefly worked in finance before pursuing a career in Medicine, graduating from the University of Notre Dame with First-Class Honours and receiving the Bower and Sherrard Medal. He completed his junior medical training at Westmead Hospital, where he received the Junior Medical Officer (JMO) of the Year award and was a finalist for NSW Doctor of the Year.
Dr. Bish Soliman completed five years of advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). During his training, he also completed a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney.
Following his training, Dr. Soliman received the Morgan Traveling Fellowship from RACS, allowing him to complete 12 months of sub-specialty training through international fellowships in North America. During this time, he trained under Dr. Brian Peterson and Professor Edward Buchel, who have contributed significantly to aesthetic surgery, breast surgery, and microsurgical reconstruction.
Dr. Soliman is actively involved in research and has numerous publications. He is a research supervisor with the University of Sydney and is committed to teaching and mentoring future plastic surgeons. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Soliman enjoys spending time with his family and stays active through exercise.
